Darren Criss, who plays the character of Blaine Anderson on the hit U.S. show 'Glee', has announced details of a full tour that will take him across 16 cities in America later this spring.

Writing on his official Twitter page earlier today (April 23), Criss told his fans the exciting news: "I'm proud to say, I'm going on tour this Summer!!! Full band. New music. Old music. Let's do this..."

He also uploaded a video, in which he can be seen talking about the upcoming run of dates and even confirms that he's been working on a brand new studio album.

Criss will kick off the series of stateside shows on May 29 at The Fillmore in San Francisco and from there will travel around the USA from Texas to Massachusetts and to Indiana.
