Scooter Braun on Psy's success: 'Music should be a release and he's a lot of fun'

Music mogul Scooter Braun believes the reason that Korean hitmaker Psy has been so successful is because he brings humour to his music.

Speaking to MTV News about the 'Gangnam Style' star's almost overnight rise to fame, Braun explained that the lightheartedness of the songs he comes out with turn people on to him:

"People love to watch that guy dance. It makes people have fun, and I think music should be a release.”

He added that because his music represents "a good time" and is fun to listen to, it becomes internationally accessible: "It went to like number one (in the video chart) in, like, 52 countries, so it was kind of mind-blowing for us. But he's just fun. And I think he's coming to the US at the end of this week to start performing it on TV, and around the world. And he represents having a good time, so good for him.”
