Daft Punk score their first UK No.1 single

French electro duo Daft Punk have secured their first ever UK No.1 single with ‘Get Lucky.’

The track, featuring Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers, climbed two places to reach the No.1 spot.

Last week’s chart topper ‘Waiting All Night’ by Rudimental featuring Ella Eyre has fallen to No. 2.  

Straight into the top ten are London trio Loveable Rogues at No. 9 with ‘What A Night’ whilst Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ ‘Can’t Hold Us’ shot up seven places to No.5 and Calvin Harris featuring Ellie Goulding rose three places to No.4 with ‘Need Your Love.’

Further chart climbers this week include ‘Attracting Flies’ by AlunaGeorge rising 11 places to No.19, Iggy Azalea’s ‘Work’ up two to No.17, and Little Mix’s ‘How Ya Doin’?’ rising seven slots to No.16.

Elsewhere in the chart new entries came from Amelia Lily with ‘Party Over’ at No. 40, Carly Rae Jepsen with ‘Tonight I’m Getting Over You’ at No. 35, ‘Like Home’ by Nicky Romero at No. 33, and Passenger in at No.11 with ‘Let Her Go.’
