Singer Nicky Byrne, formerly of Westlife fame, has taken to his official Twitter page to share exciting news about his growing family.

Writing on the social networking site late last night (April 29), the star explained that his wife is pregnant with what will be their third child:

"Morning y'all.. Its time to share our exciting news.. Georgina is expecting ! Yep, Third "Baby Byrne" is on the way !! #Yeehah :)"

Byrne is married to the daughter of Irish politician, Georgina Ahern, and together they already have twin boys named Jay and Rocco that they welcomed in 2007. Last year, Byrne took part in 'Strictly Come Dancing' and confessed that Ahern was a fan on his involvement because it 'tightened up his bum':

"Everywhere’s tightening. If you weren’t in great shape before, you certainly would be after putting the hours in for what you’ve got to do to get things right for Saturday night. [My wife] is [a fan] yeah! But she’s been giving me a bit of stick, saying, 'If you come home wearing more fake tan than me, or with more sequins than I have, then we’re going to be in trouble!'"
