TLC on upcoming live gig and new album: 'These things are long overdue'

Girl group TLC have opened up about their forthcoming live set at the Mixtape Festival in Pennsylvania and also confirmed that they're working on a brand new album.

The two remaining members, Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, spoke to Rolling Stone magazine about their plans for this year and confessed that they can't wait to get back on stage. "It really is the start of another chapter for us," explained Thomas.

Singer Watkins also explained that they're both really excited, but nervous at the same time: "I'm nervous. Not because I don't think [fans] will like it. But more so just 'cause it's been so long."

Original member Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes died in a car accident in Honduras in 2002 and the other two stars confirmed that she will be honoured at their Mixtape Festival show with specially projected footage: "It'll be bittersweet because she's not there, but she's still there. [Audiences] are left with a good feeling, because you see all three of us rock out together."

Watkins told the magazine that TLC's new album will feature collaborations with Drake and Ne-Yo: "Everybody has been so responsive about working with us. No one has said no yet."
