Bruno Mars in "beast mode" on new album

Pop superstar Bruno Mars admits he is in "beast mode" on his new album.

The 27-year-old hitmaker impressed fans with first album 'Doo-Wops & Hooligans' which spawned hits including romantic love songs 'Just the Way You Are' and 'Grenade'.

His new album 'Unorthodox Jukebox' has chauvinist sentiments throughout, and Mars admits he wanted to show another side to his personality on the record.

Speaking to the UK edition of InStyle magazine, the star laughed: "Let's just say I'm in beast mode now. I've shown that lover-boy side of me - does anyone really want me to come back and sing Just The Way You Are, Part Two? As much as I love that song, I feel like I need to express other areas of love, relationships, girls and sex."

Mars also revealed hopes for his future career plans.

He explained: "I'd love to get into the studio with Rihanna. I think we'd have a lot of fun.

I'd also like to find a new talent. You know, it could come from YouTube, it could come from 'you should check out my boy, man'. If I can find an artist I'd have fun creating with and who inspires me, then that's my next project. So if you're out there and reading InStyle magazine call..."
