'Home' singer Phillip Phillips, who found fame as the winner of 2012's 'American Idol', has been forced to scrap his remaining tour dates under doctor's orders.

The musician was performing around the USA, but has been made to cancel the rest of the shows after getting sick and wrote a message to fans via his official Facebook page earlier today (May 6):

"Hey guys, due to doctor's orders I have to postpone my last few tour dates. They will be rescheduled!"

Despite this unfortunate setback, Phillips was recently announced as the main support act on John Mayer's forthcoming tour and the first date will take place on July 6 at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI.
