Last month, it was revealed that 'Glee' might include a cover of Little Mix's single 'Wings' in one of the upcoming episodes and the exciting news has now been confirmed.

New cast member and former 'American Idol' contestant Jessica Sanchez takes lead vocals on the cover and it will be included on the show's season finale episode, which is due to air in America on May 9.

Sanchez was hired by the popular U.S. show's producers to play the temporary role of Frida Romero and writing on her official Twitter page last night (May 6), she asked her fans if they were excited for the next episode: "Excited for everyone to see a little more #FridaRomero. I'm back on @GLEEonFOX this Thursday!!"

Speaking about the honour recently, Little Mix's Perrie Edwards explained that 'Glee' covering one of their tracks is a sign that the group are finally getting noticed by an international audience: "You know you've made it when you're on 'Glee'! I love 'Glee'. I'm excited to see what they're going to do with it and how it's going to be done, what scene it is, who's going to sing what!"
