Daft Punk's forthcoming new record has been named the bestselling dance album for pre-orders in the history of Amazon UK.

The online retailer revealed that 'Random Access Memories', which is due to be released in country on May 20, has been shifting extremely well.

It has had almost three times the amount of pre-orders of the previous record holder - Massive Attack's 'Heligoland'.

Third on Amazon.co.uk's list of the bestselling dance pre-orders are Rudimental with their record 'Home'.

15% of sales of Daft Punk's 'Random Access Memories' meanwhile were for the vinyl format.

As previously reported, the French duo recently made their new album available for streaming on iTunes.
