Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' passes half a million sales and is the UK's midweek No.1 single

'Get Lucky' has enjoyed phenomenal success since its release around three weeks ago and it has now passed the half a million sales mark.

Daft Punk's new single is the No.1 track in the UK according to today's (May 15) midweek chart update and has now sold over 500,000 copies. The French electro-duo's new album, 'Random Access Memories', will be released in the UK on May 20.

This week's No.2 is Passenger's 'Let Her Go' and there's a new entry at 3 from Demi Lovato with her latest offering, 'Heart Attack'. Wretch 32's 'Blackout' is new in at 4, Stooshe's 'Slip' has made an appearance at No.11, and Tich's 'Dumb' has debuted at No.15.

Elsewhere in the UK Top 40, John Legend's 'Ordinary People' has climbed 10 spots to No.26 after an impressive 55 weeks on the chart, Bastille's anthemic single 'Pompeii' is up 1 to No.12, and Rudimental's former chart-topper 'Waiting All Night' has dropped 2 positions to No.6.
