Beyoncé and Shakira among Forbes magazine's 'Most Powerful Women'

Forbes magazine has revealed its list of the 100 'Most Powerful Women' and several stars of music have been recognised, including Beyoncé and new mother Shakira.

The 'Halo' superstar, who was acknowledged not only for her incredible career as an artist but also as a successful businesswoman, came in at No.17, while 'Hips Don't Lie' beauty Shakira finished at No.52.

Chat show icon Oprah Winfrey, who has interviewed the likes of Rihanna and the late Whitney Houston's family recently, was put at No.13. Meanwhile, United Nations Ambassador Angelina Jolie also made the cut at No.37 following her recent editorial piece that explained how she underwent a double mastectomy to slash her risk of getting breast cancer.

Beyoncé is set to perform in London on June 1 at the huge 'Chime For Change' event, which will be hosted by Madonnas and includes other live sets from the likes of Florence + The Machine and Ellie Goulding, and it will be broadcast live on BBC One that night.
