Carrie Underwood and Jason Aldean confirmed for CMT Awards performances

'Good Girl' beauty Carrie Underwood has been named as one of the performers, alongside country star Jason Aldean, for the 2013 Country Music Television (CMT) Awards.

The ceremony will be held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on June 5 and will also see live sets from the likes of Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert's band Pistol Annies, Hunter Hayes and Luke Bryan.

The CMTs are set to be hosted by Hollywood actress Kristin Bell and she will be joined by co-host Aldean, who will share the presenting duties.

Underwood, who is an Oklahoma native, took to her official Twitter page yesterday (May 21) to send a message of love and hope to those impacted by the devastating tornadoes:

"Growing up in tornado alley, you always know what could happen...it doesn't change how devastating it is when something does happen. #pray I'm thinking about and praying for my beautiful home state and the people in it tonight."
