Sir Paul McCartney leaves guitar pick at Elvis Presley's grave in Memphis

Beatles icon Sir Paul McCartney played a gig in Memphis, Tennessee on May 26 and paid a visit to Graceland to visit the grave of Elvis Presley.

The 'Blackbird' legend shared a few snapshots of himself with fans on Twitter over the weekend that showed him at the mansion and one of the photographs was of McCartney putting a personalised guitar pick at the grave of the 'Blue Suede Shoes' superstar.

Writing on the social networking page about his trip to Graceland (pictured left), McCartney told his followers: "Paying Respects #OutThere at #Graceland."

Presley met McCartney during the Fab Four's trip to Los Angeles in 1956 and they crossed paths again back in 1966 when The Beatles performed shows in Memphis.

He posted on Twitter today (May 28) about the new release of the remastered version of his 'Wings Over America' record, writing: "Remastered Wings over America is out today in North America."
