Union J receiving songwriting help from Lawson’s Andy Brown

After becoming a big hit on last year’s ‘X Factor’, boyband Union J are getting offers from top songwriters all around the pop world.

The band has already been working with writers who have penned tunes for the likes of One Direction and The Wanted among others. However, in an effort to mix things up, the group is accepting a bit of help on their debut album from Lawson singer Andy Brown.

Josh Cuthbert, 20, told the Daily Star: “Andy is writing songs with us in mind and that’s brilliant, we really wanted a younger viewpoint.

“Obviously we’re honoured that the likes of Steve Mac and Wayne Hector want to work with us as well, but it’s good to have a mix.”

The boys are set to release their debut single ‘Carry You’ on Monday and have admitted beginning to feel the pressure.  Jaymi Hensley, 22, revealed: “We’re terrified, now it’s all becoming real.”
