Disclosure score number one album

British electro duo Disclosure have reached the number one spot in the album chart.

It had been a close call between Disclosure’s debut LP ‘Settle’ and Queen Of The Stone Ages’ sixth record ‘…Like Clockwork’ as to who would make it to number one after the mid-week chart update.

On June 6 Queens Of The Stone Age were just 50 units ahead of Disclosure. However the British sibling duo’s sales soared on June 7 which put them significantly ahead in the race to the top spot.

With Disclosure at number one Queens of the Stone Age have had to settle for the No. 2 position.

Daft Punk’s ‘Random Access Memories’, last week’s number one record, has now fallen to No. 3.Rod Stewart’s former chart topping album ‘Time’ has also slipped another place to No. 4.

Elsewhere amongst the top ten albums Passenger’s ‘All The Little Lights’ falls one place to No.5, a new entry from Miles Kane with ‘Don’t Forget Who You Are’ at No. 8 and Olly Murs’ ‘Right Place Right Time’ rises four slots to reach No. 9.
