Little Mix say Simon Cowell was "proud" of their US chart success

Little Mix have revealed that Simon Cowell treated the group to 25 bottles of champagne after their debut album hit No.4 in the US.

As previously reported, their maiden effort 'DNA' impressively landed in the top five on the Billboard chart recently.

Speaking to heat, Perrie Edwards said that Cowell - who signed the female quartet after they won the UK X Factor in 2011 - was "proud" of the group's success. She said:

“He said he was proud of us and happy that we've stayed grounded!"

Leigh-Anne Pinnock added: "He's been so supportive, he wrote us a letter and when we got into the top 4 he sent us 25 bottles of champagne!"

Little Mix are just the latest British act to enjoy an impact on the US music scene, with One Direction, Cher Lloyd and Ed Sheeran all having success in the States recently.
