Jessie J praises Andrea Begley after Voice UK win

Jessie J has congratulated Andrea Begley on winning this year's series of The Voice UK.

As previously reported, the singer beat favourite Leah McFall to reign supreme last night (June 22) on the show's final.

Despite being on rival Danny O'Donoghue's team, coach Jessie J took to Twitter after the verdict to praise Begley. She said:

"Huge congratulations to Andrea for winning tonight! So proud of you and what you have achieved and your voice is amazing! Well done honey! X."

Will.i.am got in on the action too, tweeting: "Congratulations to andrea for winning...#theVOICEuk."

Sir Tom Jones meanwhile said on the social networking website: "Congratulations to Andrea! and to Danny for bringing her along so beautifully--great team work, that's what it's about ;-) x."

Begley only has 10% residual vision, but she is studying a masters degree in law whilst gigging in Belfast.

Speaking after winning the show, the singer said: "I actually can't speak. I never ever, ever could have imagined this. Honestly, first and foremost I have to thank everyone at home for voting for me. Hopefully I will try my best to put your vote to good use and be a success. Thank you so much."
