Andy Murray listens to Ed Sheeran and Robin Thicke before playing tennis

Andy Murray has revealed his pre-tennis listening habits.

The Scottish sports star told BBC Newsbeat that he often listens to Ed Sheeran and Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' before hitting the court.

He also picks other songs featuring Pharrell Williams, as well as tracks by John Mellencamp.

Murray, who is gearing up to perform in this year's Wimbledon competition, added that most tennis players listen to tunes before playing. He said:

"I would say 90% of the players listen to music before they go on. You know the locker room at a grand slam, there's like 128 players at the beginning. It's very, very loud with coaches and physical trainers and all that so a lot of players just kinda get in the zone by listening to music."

Murray is currently No.2 on the world tennis rankings and is looking to win Wimbledon for the first time this year.
