Icona Pop claim the midweek UK No.1 single with 'I Love It'

Swedish duo Icona Pop have shot in at No.1 this afternoon (June 26) during the midweek chart update with their single, 'I Love It'.

The song became immediately popular after it featured on an episode of Lena Dunham's series, 'Girls', and has managed to beat Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' (No.2) to the top spot today as it is ahead by more than 11,000 copies.

Elsewhere in the Top 10, The Wanted's 'Walk Like Rihanna' has debuted at No.3, Will.i.Am's 'Bang Bang' has made an appearance at 4, and 'Dear Darlin'' by Olly Murs fell 3 positions to No.10. Andrea Begley, who won the latest UK series of 'The Voice' has gone in at No.19 with her cover of Evanescence's 'My Immortal'.

Leah McFall, also from 'The Voice', has entered the UK Top 40 at 22 with 'I Will Always Love You. She is also at No.24 with 'I Will Survive'.
