Bee Gees singer Barry Gibb: 'I'm keen for a duet with Coldplay or Sir Paul McCartney'

Barry Gibb, singer of the Bee Gees, has revealed that he would be interested in writing a potential chart hit with either Sir Paul McCartney or Coldpay frontman, Chris Martin.

Speaking to Digital Spy, the star confessed that he might try and push for a duet with McCartney as he has an 'in' with the icon, so it could be easier to organise:

"It would be Chris Martin, but it might be Paul McCartney. You never know when your roads are going to cross. I have a communication with Paul - I'm going to do a seminar at the Liverpool Performing Arts on songwriting."

"That's what life does. You gravitate towards one another and either something happens or it doesn't."

Gibb also opened up about the healing powers of music and said that it is something that can be universally enjoyed: "It crosses all barriers. People like all kinds of music - and I know people who don't like music at all. It's actually quite fascinating working with people who sing, but don't like music. For me, I like all kinds of music."
