Kendrick Lamar and Drake win big at BET Awards

The likes of Kendrick Lamar and Drake were among the winners at this year's BET Awards.

The ceremony was hosted on Sunday (June 30) in Los Angeles as Black Entertainment Television celebrated the world's music stars.

Kendrick Lamar won three gongs on the night - Best New Artist, Male Hip-Hop Artist and Best Collaboration.

Drake equalled that total by winning the Video of the Year and Viewer's Choice categories, as well as Best Collaboration for his Lamar and A$AP ROCKY duet 'Problems'.

Other winners included Macklemore and Ryan Lewis in the Best Group category and Rihanna in the Best Female R&B award.

Miguel won the male version of that award, whilst Nicki Minaj won the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist gong.

Emeli Sandé meanwhile beat off competition from the likes of Rita Ora to win the Best International Act: United Kingdom award.
