Pixies confirm UK and Ireland tour

Pixies have revealed a batch of UK and Ireland tour dates.

The iconic US indie group will play one show in Ireland and three concerts in the UK in November.

They will be joined by Kim Shattuck (pictured below) on bass, who replaces the outgoing Kim Deal.

The jaunt will kick off at Dublin's Olympia on November 18 before hitting Manchester and Glasgow. The Pixies will then round things off with a show at London's Hammersmith Apollo on November 24.

Speaking about the tour, singer Black Francis said: "Along with everyone's favourites, we'll be playing songs that we haven't played in ages or never played live before. Songs like 'Brick is Red,' 'Havalina,' 'Tony's Theme' and 'Sad Punk'. We've probably rehearsed some 80 songs, so we'll be able to change up the set at the last minute if we feel like it. We're all really looking forward to this tour."

Tickets will go on sale July 2. The full schedule is as follows:

  • November 18 - Dublin, Olympia
  • November 21 - Manchester, Apollo
  • November 22 - Glasgow, Barrowland
  • November 24 - Hammersmith, Apollo
