Singers Harry Styles and Liam Payne have teamed up with cancer charity Trekstock for a special project that is yet to be unveiled, but has been teased with the release of a promotional image.

The photograph (pictured left) shows the two heartthrobs posing cheekily with a board that displays the date July 8 and an accompanying caption reads: "Excited to be working with on something extra special with Harry & Liam from One Direction! Stay tuned for an announcement..."

Trekstock's mission statement, which is displayed on its official Facebook page, explains that it aims "to help beat cancer through funding research of the highest standard and ensuring all young people have the right and relevant information to make better informed lifestyle choices."

'Live While We're Young' hitmaker Styles directed his 13.9 million Twitter followers to Trekstock's social networking page earlier this afternoon by posting: "Follow @trekstock to see what me and Liam are up to with them, they'll be posting stuff reeeeaaal soon."
