Bastille: 'Our fans give us the best presents, it doesn't get better than this'

'Pompeii' hitmakers Bastille have revealed that the support they've received from their fans has been amazing and they have also been given some great gifts.

Speaking to Gigwise backstage at Glastonbury Festival, the band's frontman confessed that he was overwhelmed with the presents followers gave him at the outdoor event because of their personal nature:

"To be given anything and not be worthy of it feels nice. I mean when it's not your birthday or anything, it's really nice. I got given some Twin Peaks t-shirts and a Twin Peaks High School jumper which were thrown on stage. That's creepy in a nice way, because you think 'how do they know me so well?"

"We got a really nice package the other day of some cat badges and a DVD of the movie Aeroplane. That's amazing. It doesn't get better than that."

Singer Dan Smith also joked that performing alongside Muse recently made them feel insecure about their own musical abilities: "It was a really interesting line-up and the crowds were great but when you're playing with Muse it puts it all into perspective - everyone was there to see them do what they do best. We were at the bottom of the bill, which is where we completely belong to be but it was fun. We were constantly looking around thinking 'this is mental'."
