Original Sugababes reunion “came naturally”

Mutya Keisha Siobhan, the original members of pop group Sugababes, say that reuniting after 12 years was easy and that the gap has had no effect on their musical chemistry.

Siobhan Donaghy, who quit the original band in 2001, said: “You expect it to sound really different from the first time around, and it didn’t, it was just the same. It came together naturally.”

Donaghy and her bandmates Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan unveiled their debut single ‘Flatline’ earlier this week. The song will be properly released on September 1.

Also featured on the upcoming debut album is Buena’s daughter who sings on a track entitled ‘Back in the Day’.  “It talks about how we used to balance our school life and our studio life,” Buena explained.
