Country singer Randy Travis critically illRandy Travis in a critical condition in hospital. The country singer is suffering from a viral heart infection and is currently based in a Texas medical facility. His spokesman confirmed that the 54-year-old is suffering from complications of a "recently acquired viral cardiomyopathy". It is said that Travis appeared fine in business meetings at the weekend before being "hit" by the virus on Sunday (July 7). He was due to perform at Deadwood, South Dakota on Wednesday (July 10). Over the years, Travis has won six Grammys and ten Academy of Country Music awards, creating hits such as 'Forever and Ever, Amen' and 'Diggin' Up Bones'.
