Holly Willoughby says The Voice will miss Jessie J

Holly Willoughby has lamented Jessie J's decision to leave The Voice.

As previously reported, the 'Domino' star announced on Friday (July 5) that she is stepping down from the show after two years.

The vocal star said she wanted to focus on her global touring schedule as she releases her second album.

Speaking to the Telegraph, host Holly Willoughby said that there will be a big void left in the wake of Jessie J's departure. She said:

"For the sake of the panel it needs to be [a woman]. Otherwise it would be the wrong balance. I'm really going to miss Jessie. We were lucky to have her as long as we did. Whoever replaces her is going to have big shoes to fill."

Acts rumoured to be lined-up for the role include Rita Ora and Paloma Faith.
