Robin Thicke returns to No.1 with 'Blurred Lines' and outsells Lawson

Crooner Robin Thicke has landed this week's midway No.1 single with 'Blurred Lines' despite tough competition from Lawson's 'Brokenhearted', which has debuted at 4.

Today's midweek chart update (July 10) saw Thicke's summer anthem move up 1 place to the top spot, but Swedish House Mafia's Sebastian Ingrosso earned the highest new entry at No.3 with 'Reload', which also features John Martin and Tommy Trash.

UK boyband Lawson previously promised to streak naked through the streets of London if their new offering made it to No.1, but unfortunately they didn't make the cut.

Rising star Iggy Azalea has made an appearance this afternoon at 11 with 'Bounce', Katy B's 'What Love Is Made Of' has entered at 20, and Jay-Z's 'Holy Grail' featuring Justin Timberlake came in at No.27.

Elsewhere in the UK Top 40, P!nk's collaboration with Lily Cooper (née Allen) on 'True Love' has entered at 39, Ke$ha's 'Crazy Kids' has shot up 1 space to sit at No.26, and 'Dear Darlin'' by Olly Murs has slipped 3 positions to No.15.
