Little Mix's Perrie Edwards: 'I have no sense of smell'

Blonde beauty Perrie Edwards has confessed that she has never been able to smell so when she hears other people describing scents she thinks it's "magic".

The Little Mix star told BBC's Newsbeat that it's something she has lived with her entire life so to her it isn't that strange:

"People are always like, 'Oh, isn't that really horrible?' and I'm like, 'No' because I've never known what it's like to smell. If I'd had it and then it disappeared I'd be like, 'Argh'. When people go 'Ah she's cooking a Sunday roast' I'm like, how do you know that. I'm like, this is amazing, it's like magic."

Edwards confessed that she has a signature perfume because people often comment on how pleasant it is, but she doesn't know what the fragrance is really like: "I wear the same perfume all the time, because everyone says 'Oh you smell nice' and then I'm like, 'Ah OK'."

Meanwhile, Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall recently opened up about the band's forthcoming new album and teased that it's likely to be "more mature" than their debut offering: "We're so proud of [the] 'DNA' album. We don't want to let it go, but we've had a bit of fun. We've only literally just started writing and stuff. I think we probably might mature slightly for this album, but we want to keep the kind of uplifting message we had on the last one."
