DJ Diplo has suggested that Beyoncé scrapped an entire album's worth of new material and started over.

The superstar singer is currently working on the follow-up to her 2011 record '4' but little information has been revealed about the album.

Some fans are growing impatient as Beyoncé tours the world without a new record behind her, despite performing new track 'Grown Woman'.

However, Diplo told The Sun that the 'Single Ladies' star may have ditched a whole album and started again from scratch in her pursuit for perfection. He said:

"I just did two songs for her new album, well, I tried."

The American DJ continued: "I think she scrapped the record. The record was supposed to be done and they have been hitting me up for brand new ideas. I like to work from scratch, [but] sometimes I get called in to fix records."
