Jay Z makes a change to his name

Rap superstar Jay Z has official removed the hyphen from his name according to Billboard's editor.

Joe Levy, the magazine's head, took to his official Twitter page last night and confirmed that the '99 Problems' hitmaker will know be known as 'Jay Z' in print as opposed to 'Jay-Z':

"Breaking: Jay Z has dropped the hyphen from his name, according to his label. I am not kidding. (Wish I was.) Copy editors: take note."

Over the weekend, the hip-hop mogul paid a visit to Salisbury Cathedral to see his album artwork displayed next to the Magna Carta and Rev. June Osborne described him as a "delightful guest".

Meanwhile, Jay Z will tour the UK in support of his chart-topping new album, 'Magna Carta Holy Grail', and his first date is set to take place in Manchester on October 3.
