Avicii denies cancelling show after suffering 'drug overdose'

Avicii has dismissed speculation that he has pulled an upcoming show because he had a drug overdose.

The Swedish DJ and producer is due to perform at the Tennent's Vital event in Belfast on August 16.

However, he was forced to respond to rumours on Twitter that claim he has cancelled his appearance at the Northern Ireland show after suffering an overdose.

One user asked the hitmaker: "Word on the street is you over-dosed and can't make it to belfast on the 16th.. This best be untrue!"

Avicii then replied: "Best not listen to "word on the street". No truth to that whatsoever. I dont do drugs, anyone who knows me would tell u same."

The 'Wake Me Up' star also responded to another Twitter user confirming that he hasn't pulled out of the show.

As previously reported, Avicii recently confirmed that a song featuring Adam Lambert and Nile Rodgers will feature on his forthcoming debut album '#True'.
