British funnyman Russell Brand made a joke about being married to pop superstar Katy Perry during a recent stand-up show in London.

Speaking to the audience, Brand quipped that being able to only sleep with one person while you're married isn't much different to committing yourself to celibacy and joked that he would often fantasize about other women:

"When I got divorced, I considered becoming a monk. When you're a monk, you're not allowed to have sex with anyone. When you're married, it's one person. That's one more than a monk. It's not that different. I'd be having sex thinking, 'Think of anyone, anyone else.'"

Earlier this summer, the 'Teenage Dream' beauty told press that she always liked his sense of humour but was offended when he started using her and their experiences together as a couple as his punch lines:

"[He was] a magical man. He's a very smart man, and I was in love with him when I married him. [He was] hysterical [funny] in some ways. Until he started making jokes about me and he didn't know I was in the audience, because I had come to surprise him at one of his shows."
