Carly Rae Jepsen is recording new material on her tour bus

Canadian songstress Carly Rae Jepsen has revealed that she's currently working on new music from the confines of her tour bus as she installed a recording studio inside of it.

Speaking to Billboard about the progress of her new album, the 'Call Me Maybe' superstar explained that putting in the equipment enables her to work round the clock and as soon as she has an idea for a new song:

"I have a little recording studio in the back of my tour bus where I'm making demos, so when I do hit the studio I've got a bunch of ideas up my sleeve. Writing a record is probably my most favorite part of any of it. I love getting into the groove of that. I'm looking forward to the next couple of months."

When asked about the musical direction she's likely to take, Jepsen remained tight-lipped but did admit that she's really influenced by the styles of Solange Knowles and 'Somebody That I Used To Know' vocalist, Kimbra:

"I have a billion ideas in my head of exactly where I want to go, but at the end of the day I write what I write. I'm definitely inspired by Solange and I've been digging Kimbra for a long time. Generally what I listen to somehow influences what I'm writing."
