Actress Emily Atack has revealed that she had a "short-lived" fling with One Direction's Harry Styles.

The Inbetweeners star and the 'Kiss You' singer were rumoured to have seen each other last year but there was no official confirmation of the tryst.

Speaking to Reveal, Atack has now confirmed that she did indeed date Styles for a short period of time before they went their separate ways. She said:

"We were never boyfriend and girlfriend. I think that's the first time I've ever admitted to what it was, because I've always just shrugged it off before. But I think it's best to clear it up. So, yeah, we had a short-lived thing that was just a bit of fun. Then we went off in our opposite directions."

The actress continued: "Harry and I had a laugh. It was brief, but fun, and then we moved on. We haven't spoken in a while - he's one of the most famous people in the world now."

Styles, however, previously claimed that he never even kissed Atack and that they were just good friends.
