Rita Ora apologises for cancelling shows due to illness

'Shine Ya Light' songstress Rita Ora has revealed that she has been forced to pull out of her scheduled appearance tonight (August 9) at Haydock Park racecourse, Merseyside.

She took to her official Twitter page earlier today and told her followers that an infection has prevented her from performing this evening and she is really upset at having to cancel:

"I would never do this unless I physically had to and in this situation I unfortunately do. I am so so sorry for cancelling my shows. This weekend I've never and will never not perform unless I physically can't put on a good show for you I have a bad infection in the throat and chest."

She added, regretfully: "I am so sorry and as soon as I get better I will make it up to you. I promise. I love you. Rita."

The hitmaker is also due to perform over the weekend at Zofingen, Switzerland and a statement hasn't yet been issued about whether or not she is likely to honour the commitment. Aside from these concerts, Rita Ora is set to rock V Festival in the UK next weekend.
