Richard and Adam stay at No. 1 in album chart for second week

Welsh sibling duo Richard and Adam have held on to the top spot in the UK album chart for a second week.

‘The Impossible Dream’ is the debut album from the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ contenders and it went straight to No. 1 last week.

Richard and Adam managed to fend off tough competition from another double act to stay at No. 1 this week from The Civil Wars.

The Civil Wars' self-titled second album reached No. 2 this week and received a big sales boost after Adele told her followers on Twitter: “Please go and get the new Civil Wars album. They're my absolute favourite and the new record is beautiful!”

Other activity in this week’s album chart sees Jahmene Douglas’ covers album ‘Love Never Fails’ down three places to No. 5, Passenger’s ‘All The Little Lights’ at No. 4 for it’s 24th week in the chart and Imagine Dragons’ ‘Night Visions’ rocketed up seven spots to No. 3.
