Channel 4 to air iTunes Festival footage throughout September

London's annual iTunes Festival is set to kick off once again on September 1 and it has now been announced that Channel 4 will be broadcasting highlights from the series of concerts.

Presenter Lauren Laverne will host the footage and along with being shown on Channel 4, E4 and 4Music will also air some exciting coverage.

Jonathan Rothery, commissioning editor for music at Channel 4, explained in a statement that it's a great project for the station: "We are delighted to welcome iTunes Festival back to Channel 4 for a second year. The lineup for 2013 proves the event's repeated ability to attract the biggest and most varied acts in the business."

Gig highlights will be broadcast across the three channels every Wednesday to Friday in September and there will also be an exclusive segment featuring interviews that will air weekly on Wednesdays through Channel 4.

2013's iTunes Festival, which will take place at the Roundhouse in Camden (pictured below), boasts an impressive line up and confirmed artists include Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Kings of Leon, Sir Elton John, Tinie Tempah and Paramore.
