It was confirmed earlier this week that Little Mix beauty Perrie Edwards and One Direction heartthrob Zayn Malik are engaged, and Malik's mother has already invited her to go wedding dress shopping.

Trisha Malik (pictured above left with her famous son) took to her official Twitter page this evening (August 22) and wrote: "I think a shopping trip is needed soon girlies 👗👛 @KathyLarke @Rachel_Daley_ @LorisaEdwards 👍"

Her friend Rachel Daley then replied and asked: "@PatriciaLMalik @KathyLarke @LorisaEdwards shall we invite Pezza because I heard she's getting married? 😍👯🎉🎊."

Trisha agreed that the should and extended an invitation to the blonde bombshell: "@Rachel_Daley_ @KathyLarke @LorisaEdwards So did I 😉 You joining us @LittleMixOffic Perrie? X"

The happy couple announced their engagement after Edwards was pictured at the boyband's premiere for their movie, 'This Is Us', wearing a stunning diamond ring on the appropriate finger. Malik has since spoken out about the news, telling Capital FM: "It's cool, it's really cool, we're really happy."
