Richard and Adam set new chart record for 2013 with fourth week at No.1

Britain's Got Talent duo Richard and Adam have landed their fourth week at No.1 on the UK albums chart with their debut offering, 'The Impossible Dream'.

This impressive feat has also secured them a new chart record for 2013 as they have now overtaken Justin Timberlake as the act with the most consecutive weeks at Number 1 this year.

The pair managed to beat incredibly tough competition from the likes of Travis, who entered the Top 40 at No.3 this evening (August 25) with their new offering 'Where You Stand', and John Mayer with his new album, 'Paradise Valley', at No.4. One Direction's London film premiere earlier this week drummed up some more interest in their latest album 'Take Me Home' as it has climbed 7 positions to No.20, Lana Del Rey's 'Born To Die' is up 1 to No.22, and The Civil Wars' self-titled new record has fallen a rather hefty 22 places to sit at No.39.

Elsewhere, Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' has dropped to No.30, 'Right Place Right Time' by Olly Murs has climbed 1 position to No.17, and Bastille's 'Bad Blood' is up 2 at No.13.
