'N Sync reunited live for the first time in almost a decade at this year's MTV VMAs.

Their comeback had been mooted for a number of weeks in the build-up to the ceremony, which took place last night (August 25) in Brooklyn.

Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick joined Justin Timberlake during the singer's solo set to run through some of their hits.

The US boyband performed tracks such as 'Bye Bye Bye' and 'Girlfriend' to an enthusiastic audience, with Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift both seen dancing.

Timberlake then continued his own slot as he capped off a successful night which saw him collect a number of awards, including Video of the Year.

Whilst there is no full reunion suggested, 'N Sync meanwhile have launched their own official Twitter account.
