Wiley and Laura Mvula lead MOBO nominations

Wiley and Laura Mvula have bagged four nominations each for this year's MOBOs.

The ceremony is taking place this year at Glasgow's new Hydro venue on October 19 as the project celebrates its 18th anniversary.

Wiley is up for the Best Male Act, Best Album, Best UK Hip Hop/Grime and Best Song categories.

Mvula meanwhile has been nominated for the Best Album, Best Video, Best R&B/Soul Act and Best Female awards.

Other nominees include X Factor's Jahmene Douglas in the Best Newcomer category, whilst the Best International Act section sees the likes of Justin Timberlake, Kanye West and Robin Thicke go head-to-head.

The Best African Act will see WizKid and Ice Prince battle for victory whilst acts such as Sons of Kemet and Lineage are nominated for the jazz award.
