Sting gives advice to Justin Bieber: 'This explosive fame won't last forever, so enjoy it'

Music legend Sting has opened up the kind of exaggerated fame experienced by heartthrobs like Justin Bieber and revealed that it should be enjoyed and not taken too seriously as it's not usually lasting.

Speaking to The Guardian newspaper, the 'Englishman In New York' icon gave a few words of advice to Bieber and confessed that public exposure as concentrated as that can be tough to handle and he hopes the youngster is coping with it well:

"It's fun to have a hit. But fame and ego and money can do terrible things. I know it's a cliché but you still see people going through it. Look at Justin Bieber - it's like he's in free fall. I just hope he survives it because a lot of people don't."

Sting added: "If I could give any advice to young musicians, it would be this: just try and enjoy it, because that truly explosive bit doesn't last forever."
