'Wrecking Ball' beauty Miley Cyrus has called off her engagement to 'Hunger Games' fiancé Liam Hemsworth.

The pair have been together for some time now although things have seemed rocky over the past few months and a representative for the songstress has now confirmed the sad news to E! News.

E! reports that it was "Miley's decision, after coming to grips with Liam being what she believed was less than faithful to her".

Cyrus recently told Harper's Bazaar magazine that she hadn't made any specific wedding plans because she didn't have time at the moment: "I definitely don't have time to deal with a wedding right now. But I will at some point."

She sparked rumours that their relationship might be going through a rough patch over the weekend after she unfollowed Hemsworth on Twitter.
