Fleetwood Mac star: 'News of Cory Monteith's death made me sick for days'

Stevie Nicks, of Fleetwood Mac fame, has revealed that the tragic and untimely death of 'Glee' star Cory Monteith hit a little too close to home.

She became fond of the show after they covered her band's music back in 2011 and revealed to Stella magazine that as soon as she heard what had happened, she reached out to the cast and offered her support:

"I said, 'Forgive me if I'm stepping into your personal space. I lost my godson to an overdose last year- he died at a fraternity party - so I understand how shocking that is'."

"When what happened to Cory happened, I just was sick for days. Honestly, just sick. It's just so prevalent. It's everywhere. It's worse than when we were young."

Earlier today (September 17), it was confirmed that Monteith will be remembered at the upcoming 2013 Emmy Awards and co-star Jane Lynch will pay tribute to him at the ceremony on September 22.
