Busted star Matt Willis will appear in a new series of Birds of a Feather.

The bassist and singer will play the part of Garthy, the older son of Tracey Stubbs, who is played by Linda Robson.

Birds of a Feather veterans Pauline Quirke and Lesley Joseph will also feature in the comedy series, which is due to hit ITV screens 15 years after being shelved by the BBC.

Speaking about his appointment, Willis said: "I'm so excited to be joining Birds of a Feather playing the role of Garthy! I used to watch the show growing up so this is just a dream job. I can't believe I'll be working with Sharon, Tracey and Dorien."

Matt Willis meanwhile recently took to the stage with Busted bandmate James Bourne to perform with McFly at the their 10th anniversay gigs in London.
