Emblem3 have praised One Direction and the group's apparent world domination.

The US group appeared on the American X Factor in 2012 before being eliminated in the show's semi-finals.

They have been compared to British-Irish counterparts One Direction and they told the Metro that the 'Kiss You' lads are on top form at the moment.

Wesley Stromberg said: "If we could model their success it would be amazing. They’re killing it right now, they’re one of the biggest boybands in the world. They’re just really cool guys."

He added: "Before X Factor we hated boybands, we thought they were kinda lame. But we did X Factor, we were like a punk band before that, and then we were introduced to the pop industry. At the end of the day we’re artists and we write our songs, lyrics, melodies…We are not manufactured not at all."
