Cher and Ellie Goulding will both perform on the UK X Factor this month.

They will take to the stage on October 13 as the TV talent show's live finals start.

The slot will come one day before Cher releases her new album 'Closer to the Truth' in the UK.

Goulding meanwhile released her new re-issue 'Halcyon Days' in August, which features the hit track 'Burn'.

The X Factor UK's Judges' Houses stage meanwhile will take place from Saturday (October 5), with Olly Murs and Robbie Williams among the guest judges.

Over the pond, One Direction are the only act confirmed so far to appear on the US version of the X Factor, with Simon Cowell recently announcing the news to reporters.
