Iggy Azalea: "Sometimes it's nice to be quiet"

Australian rap starlet Iggy Azalea has been talking about some of her favourite songs and sounds – including silence.

In an interview with Company magazine the ‘Bounce’ singer stated:

“When I'm relaxing, I cherish silence because I'm a performer and have music blasted in my face 80 per cent of the day.”

She added: “Sometimes it's nice to be quiet.”

On some of her favourite songs Iggy – whose real name is Amethyst Amelia Kelly – revealed a penchant for the Spice Girls:

“‘Spice Up Your Life’ was always my favourite song to dress up to and sing along with when I was a kid. It reminds me of having fun with my sister dancing around my bedroom.”

The 23-year-old ‘Work’ star also divulged that her favourite song to perform live is her track ‘Beat Down’:

“I've been on tour this year and this is always the first song I sing when I get on stage. It sets the tone for the night and will always remind me of this tour.”

Despite recently pulling out of opening for Beyoncé on her Mrs Carter Show in New Zealand, Iggy Azalea will still be the opening act for Australian dates.
