Conor Maynard has been confirmed as the support act on will.i.am's upcoming UK tour.

The US star is due to hit mainland Britain for three dates in early December and Maynard has signed up to support.

The jaunt will kick off at the Manchester Arena on December 3 before heading to Birmingham's LG Arena the day after.

The tour will end at London's O2 Arena on December 5. Tickets are still available for the dates.

Conor Maynard meanwhile released his debut book Take Off earlier this month, with the singer scheduled for a number of signings across Britain.

The book's blurb says: "In his autobiography, Conor Maynard shares his own honest, candid and often surprising take on his rapid rise to the top. The book offers exclusive behind the scenes access allowing you to get closer to the star than ever before. The book features hundreds of exclusive brand new and unseen photos and a collection of handwritten lyrics and notes."

The young singer is also currently working on the follow-up to his 2012 debut album 'Contrast'.

He has so far released the song 'R U Crazy' from his new record, which was co-written by Labrinth.
